Honorable Mention

Ed McGrogan gave Honorable Mention to Lindsay Davenport and David Nalbandian yesterday on Peter Bodo's TENNISWORLD, saying that if the two were playing in their respective YECs they'd make some noise.

So if you had the chance to give Honorable Mention to one man and one woman on tour - who would it be?

I think I'd go with Golovin for the ladies and Mr. Murray for the men.

After an ugly first-round exit at the USO, Golovin went 15-4 to close out her season. She played two hard-fought losses with Henin, won Portoroz and had victories over Schiavone, Chakvetadze, Kuznetsova, Ivanovic, Kirilenko and Bartoli.

As for Murray, he went 14-4 while winning St. Petersburg and making a triumphant return from injury. His loss to Gasquet in Paris denied him a Shanghai ticket - but we'll hope for him to continue his hot streak at the Aussie.
